Berry Baskets Bonanza

I love berry baskets.  I tend to use them a lot in packaging up little goodies for friends & family.
Here are a few ways I used them recently.
I needed a couple of raffle prizes for the Penelope Lane Boutique and I decided they needed to be packaged adorably.  So I grabbed a couple of my berry baskets filled them with shredded kraft paper and inserted the little birdie.  Then tied some ribbon around them and added a mini clothespins & shop info on a kraft paper pennant.

I'm always cleaning out my supplies...seems like a never ending project for me.  After cleaning out my fabric stash I wanted to resell a lot of the scraps so I packaged them up in some berry baskets added a fabric scrap ribbon and viola!

Penelope Lane Boutique Recap

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of being a vendor at this great show.
It was so lovely and very well attended thank you Nancy & Sarah for putting on this fun show.
I took my big camera and of course got one picture before the battery died (I contemplated charging it before I left and of course blew it off).  That being said all my pics with my phone are not the crispest.

First up my booth "Earth Cookie"
I simplified my booth set up as I was taking on one little car and amazingly everything fit with room to spare.

She has the most amazing booth set up and really neat decor items

Besides having the most complex and coolest display she is a really sweet lady.

My lovely booth neighbor and her super cute jewelry designs.

Another gorgeous display by Junk Art and her creations are soooo fun.

Vintage Sugar Designs
Tons of furniture and very cute set up.

Very adorable accessories and her booth was super cute.

Besides being super sweet gals they make super cute goods.
They are having a Craftastic Saturday event coming up in October...sign up and come crafting.

Very adorable set up and products.

Looking forward to the next Penelope Lane Boutique November 23, 2013

DIY Halloween Snowglobes

I recently stumbled upon a mason jar filled with mini figurines.
Included were a few halloween themed ones so I set out to create a couple of Halloween shakers/snowglobes with them.

First I gathered my materials:

Mini Mason Jar with Handles & Lids
Mini Figurines
Black Glitter
Wooden Spools
Ribbon
Glue
Thick Plastic
Baker's Twine

Step 1:  Assemble & glue mini figurines to wooden spools
I put the inside before gluing to one another to make sure they would fit.

Step 2:  Glue the wooden spool base inside the jar.
I used large tweezers to get them inside the jar and then held the spool down for a bit so it would dry straight.

Step 3:  Cut & add a bit of plastic to the inside of the lid (this prevents the glitter from shaking out of the lid as mine were salt shaker lids).

Step 4:  Fill with glitter.

Step 5:  Put on lids & decorate jars with ribbon & twine.

Aren't they cute...I apologize for the poor pictures seems my camera doesn't do so well capturing images inside glass jars.  Bummer but they are super cute in person.

Sneaky Peaky

I'm gearing up and getting ready for Saturday's show.
The Penelope Lane Fall Boutique
As usual none of my sneak peeks are very "fall" themed but new items I'll be bringing to this market.
Hope you can swing by and shop.

A new lampshade that I finished last night.
It's nice and big and I pretty much LOVE it!

Sampler Village September Box

Witches Brew Sampler Box

I regulary send items into the Sampler Village and I get a box occasionally as well.
Its full of handmade samples from Etsy shops and is full of variety every month.
In fact my hubby found his favorite soap through this box and we still order it on a regular basis.

Got Septembers box and I must say it was packaged so cutely.
All the samples were in a black satin drawstring bag and topped with a spider shaped cookie.
(which my son ate before I could even get the rest of the box open let alone take a picture of it)

A picture of the contents.

Some of my favorites
Recycled Crayon from Funky Eco Chick

Cute Polymer Clay Figure from Bow Peepers

Earrings from The Curious Cupcake

Monster Mash Lip Balm from Suzy's Scent Shop

Hair Clips by Heart of Joy

Soap Sample from Horsin Around Soap
Mask Sample from Firestarter Cosmetics

Working on these goodies to send in for next months samples.
