I'm back in the creating groove and I love it!
Finished this little project that I've had on the backburner for a few months (closer to a year).
I had this old bulletin board that was in need of some TLC.
So I covered it with fabric
Super easy DIY: Just cover the cork board with mod podge and smooth fabric over it...leave a little bit of an allowance on the fabric.
Then using a small butter knife I tucked that extra allowance into the frame itself.
Then for a little extra assurance I smooth mod podge over it when I was done and bingo!!
It is much brighter in person.
Now onto this weeks cards for a few challenges.
First up the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge
combined with Paper Players Color Combo.
I love how this card turned out...however I did a pretty poor job of embossing it.
Should have used my embossing buddy but oh well.
Then my last card of the night was created with a color combo & sketch from the Summer Camp Card Class 2 that I'm taking online.
I also used another technique I learned on there...embossing on watercolor paper.
I of course only had a little square of watercolor paper to work with but I do like the effect.
Playing Along:
Nice & easy makeover and such a cute print! Thanks for linking to the Craftastic Monday party at Sew Can Do!
ReplyDeleteJessica, I love the little montage you created with the embossed flowers. The tag on the front of the pretty bow is fabulous. So glad you joined the Paper Players this week
