I had a few hours to myself yesterday while the hubby took the kids fishing.
It was glorious and I actually finished a few cards & my son's Birthday scrapbook.
First up I created this card using some paper I had left over from another project.
Love the simple yet cute look...plus the colors were part of the Card Class Summer Camp I'm taking online.
I had some felted beads that I purchased a while ago and never used so I cute them in half and adhered to the card for some funky embellishments
.
This next card I created after an adorable card that was in this past Stampin Success magazine.
I did my own take on the card and colros & well the setiment.
Making it my own and I love love how it turned out.
Then after creating a couple of cards I was on a roll and finally decided to tackle my son's Birthday scrapbook. I wanted to make him a special little book that celebrated this past birthday party. We did a joint party with my nephew and had a Superhero theme.
The party was soooo much fun loved putting such a great party on.
For his scrapbook I used a few pieces from a Prima Mixed Media album kit that I had purchased a few months back. Then I created some of my own pages from cardboard & patterned paper.
It's pretty simple as I know my little guy will constantly be flipping through it I didn't want to go overboard with the embellishments and things he could pull on.
I was so thrilled to finally sit down and create something for my kiddo. Seems like I will never catch up on their scrapbooks but one day at a time and one event at a time I am slowly getting there.
Happy Crafting!

ReplyDeleteYou've been really creative with all these projects. I LOVE how the blue card turned out. I like the effect of the strips of papers - they're so beautifully put together - and it's such a great idea for using some of those scraps! Visiting from MIM...
