Just got my Sampler Village Handmade Harvest Box and it was filled with some amazing goodies this month.
Here is an overview of the box & some of my fav goodies from inside.

Traci does a great job of packaging all the goodies up in such a cute way!!  Love how this month was enclosed in a handstamped muslin drawstring bag.
A quick peek of all the finds inside this box....missing a few of them that are buried within the picture.

And some of my favorite discoveries from this months box.

Made by Dad: Megaphone

I recently found this amazing book at the local library and every day the kids beg and beg for the hubby to whip up one of this fun projects.
The book is "Made by Dad 67 Blueprints for Making Cool Stuff" by Scott Bedford.

Our first project was this super fun megaphone/telephone system.
We're planning on wiring it to the kiddos bunk bed.

We put this megaphone onto the kids bunk beds so they could yell talk to each other.

Stay tuned for another Made By Dad project coming up soon.
Anyone else use this book?

DIY Wood Pallet Bookshelves

The family and I are finally getting our place ready to move into.  The boys room is the only room in the house that is officially move in ready so we've started decorating and slowly moving furniture in.

I knew I wanted something fun and slightly unusual for bookshelves in their room.  My brother in law had created a wooden pallet planter box for their own and I commissioned him to create a few for me to play around with and possibly use as bookshelves.  I adore the rough wooden look and they take up hardly any room and when you're house is teeny tiny you have to find creative ways to store everything.

How stinking cute are they?!!?  I love how they turned out and the kids can see all their books without hunting through a bookshelf trying to find one (okay 10) to read before bedtime.

Craftastic Saturday Recap

I had so much fun at this past Saturday's Craftastic Saturday.
Put on by Bubba's Basics co-owners, Angela & Stacy.

During the day we created and chatted;
I actually finished all the projects the gals had lined up for us and it was soooooo refreshing to not go home with unfinished projects.

The food was great and provided by Rock It Tacos.  Loved their salsa and chips!!

Designer Inspired "EAT"
I love these and I have been craving purchasing them myself at the past few markets.  However I kept holidng back not wanting to commit until the house was ready to move in.  So I was thrilled when this was one of they projects we completed.  I will love love these inside our home.

I think these were my favorite project from the day.  Super cute wooden block pumpkins.

The first project of the day was this Pleated Poppy inspired painted canvas.
A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E
I love the way it turned out however I wasn't thrilled with my poor painting skills so I wasn't sure if I would actually display it anywhere.  Then I found the perfect spot and hung it with care.

I won this great craft kit from Mulberry Crate and I'm looking forward to working on it this weekend.
Once finished it will be a burlap banner with the word "thankful" on it.

Oh amazing swag!!
I have never had such a heavy swag bag and inside was...well amazing handmade goods.

My Pretties

I have been working on so many new products that I really have a hard time blogging about them before they are snatched up.  Thought that today I would show you some "pretties" that now have found homes among the shoppers at this past weekends Penelope Lane Boutique.
This mini globe was so much fun to create.  I loved the colors that I ended up painting the base and the selvage edges of course are gorgeous!!  This darling is gone gone gone.

These hair goodies were snatched up also this past weekend and they were the only ones I made so you will see some more of these in the next markets.

This lovely rag wreath was available at Vintage Soul in Solana Beach.
I think its a gone already as well though.

Another thing I have been working on is getting the porch of the "Craft Shack" presentable.
I've added some little touches of paint to a couple of step ladders and they really add a pop of color to the porch.  I finally finished my curtain out of vintage hankies and you can see it on my door.  A few hanging plants and my porch is ready to roll.

Isn't my porch just so cute?!?
