Folding Chair Recover Project

So I went garage sale hunting a few weeks ago and I picked up this folding chair.
When I returned home my hubby saw the chair and just gave me the "you are so crazy" look.
So I decided to recover the cushions and originally I was going to paint the chair itself.
However I pretty much fell in love with the chipped vintage aqua paint and kept that the same.
The fabric I had in my stash...a bit modern but meshed well with the vintage aqua.

Turned out cute....a bit funky but I'm a bit funky.
Just ask my hubby.

Ready for Easter?

I have been putting off making Easter baskets until of course the last week.
So tonight I buckled down and got them done.

I used some adorable quart berry baskets.
Decorated them with crepe paper, bakers twine, stamped sentiment and a chipboard flower.

Then I filled with with a few goodies for my kiddos & nephews/nieces.
Some Jelly Belly Candy, Itty Bitty Bird Whistle & Blessings Unlimited Quote Rock

Lifes Little Joys

Finished a sweet little project with products I had one hand.

I purchased this light pink embroidery hoop a few weeks back at a local thrift shop.
I immediately knew I wanted to create a little piece of cute-ness with it.

Then I got a box full of gorgeous-ness from LilyBeanPaperie and inside was this cute fabric piece.
Then I went hunting through my piles of goodies and found some adorable accents.
A chipboard bird, wire flower, rolled pink rose & scrabble letters.
Once I had all the supplies gathered I pieced everything together with E6000 (best glue ever!)

Isn't it sweet?  Love how it turned out so simple and cute!

Lovely Things

Between work, school, running errands, Zumba and so much more.
I was able to squeeze in a little bit of Thrift store time.  YAY!

Found a sweet little side table that I've already incorporated into my Craft Shack.
I added it in front of some light gray shutters then added on top a ruffled pillow (also a thrift store find), a wooden "J" (gift) and then a pillow that I embellished with a vintage doily and some buttons.

Also found a few smalls at the thrift shop.
A Dahler tin, pink embroidery hoop, some thread and a kitshy plastic flower corsage.

Lately I've been feeling overwhelmed by the amount of supplies I have.
I get started on a project and it takes me so long to find the perfect paper or fabric or embellishment.
I think this means its time to downsize.
I have this stack of paper organizers....full of paper.
And this is just the loose sheets not collections or cardstock or Stampin Up paper.
Looks soooo messy...so I've already taken these out to go through and I'll be downsizing to three drawers.
My next step is to make 3 shelves into this area.
I purchased 4 large baskets at Target and I'll be putting those on the shelves.
First I need to fill them with the supplies in the crates underneath my craft table.

What do you hoard/collect/hang onto for that future project?  How do you store it?

Easters On Its Way

My second favorite holiday is almost here.
Easter...second to Christmas.
It's a glorious holiday where we celebrate the resurrection of Christ.
I've been creating for Easter and decorating my craft room (will post pics of craft shack next week).

I've been making these adorable small easter baskets.

I found this funky bouquet at a thrift store and decided to gut it and then add my own embellishments to it.
The vintage Easter pick is soooooo cute when paired with vintage millinery & ribbon.

Finally I made up a bunch of these scrabble tile words.
All the "Easter" ones sold this past weekend at the Vintage Marketplace.

A Card...Finally

It's been awhile since I've created a card using an online challenge.
Finally feeling back in the card making mood.

The Paper Players Challenge
Theme Challenge #135

In keeping with the "In Stiches" theme I created this adorable rag banner with Stampin Up's Sweet Stitches fabric...same product suite as the paper I used on my card.

365 Cards: Day 62 Sketchy Sunday
My simple card was made using scraps left over from another current project.

Lastly I fell in love with this card by LilyBeanPaperie

So I set out to replicated it with a Circus kind of twist on it.
I did a couple different versions...of course nothing as close to adorable as hers.
She is a very gifted and talented artist.  Love her blog!
