Hello Halloween

I am not a big fan of Halloween...mainly because I scare easily.  My son loves the dressing up and candy part but we really stay away from anything else Halloween related.  However I love the Harvest season...the colors the richness the feeling of crispness in the air.  But this year I was actually inspired to make a few Halloween decor items for the shop and my Craft Shack.

These fun pumpkins I picked up at Target for $4 each.
Then using Little Pink Studio's tutorial I slapped on some ModPodge and applied some lace & ribbon to each.
Then topped them off with ribbon & vintage millinery.

I love this one...the ribbon is from my hoard and I just have never used it and finally I found something it fit perfectly!!

Then I grabbed some of my fabric scraps in Halloween colors & prints and created another Rag Banner.

How gorgeous would this be hanging on a mantel...or the front door when the kiddos come a knockin?

Happy Days!

Craft Shack

I recently commissioned a "Craft Shack" sign from Rita Reade.
And today I hung it on my craft shack.

I love it!!!
It adds so much more to my craft shack porch, I adore it!!
Sorry for the shadows but I couldn't wait to take pictures and share!

Wonderful Whites #107

Happy gorgeous day!
I've been busy creating and packaging getting ready to add inventory into a new shop opening up in Solana Beach "Vintage Soul".  My dear friend Jana is opening sometime next week and I'm so honored to be a vendor in shop.  The shop is stinking adorable and filled with handmade lovelies!

I recentely stumbled upon some gorgeous aged paper doilies at a thrift store for 75cents for them all!!
I created a long one with the larger doilies for Vintage Soul's storefront window.

Plus I'm finally posting pictures of all the goodies I went home with from the Vintage Marketplace.
The cute little white table is from "The Junk Fairy"...Eloise always has the cutest Shabby Chic items.

The "Shaka" sign was from Robin "The Furniture Queen"
My hubby & kids are big surfers so they love throwing shakas so I had to buy this!

Monday Madness

Monday.
I dislike Mondays.
So hard to come off of a fun filled weekend and back to craziness.

My mother in law got the kids some hair gel and I spiked their hair for them.
I need some serious pratice as I'm just not used to using hair gel or spiking hair.
The results:

Then I worked on a wedding gift for my cousin.
I used one of my old maps...of Missouri (where they are getting hitched)
Then I added a vinyl lettering I had created.
It states their name & date of their wedding.

Then I added it into a fun frame.
Very fun and unique gift so I hope they love it!

Want one of these maps for yourself...I'll be bringing them to the Queen Bee Market this Saturday.
We will be in Escondido!! Can't wait!
